Rally in Warsaw held in support of Palestine

Several hundred demonstrators on Sunday marched in Warsaw to show solidarity with the Palestinian people and against the escalation of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in Gaza.

Gathered to mark the 76th anniversary of the Nakba - the displacements of the Palestinian population in 1948 during the establishment of the State of Israel - the protesters marched under the slogan: "76 years of disaster, stop the genocide in Gaza".

“I stand for human rights and against genocide - it's straightforward”, a demonstrator told Polish Radio.

“Whenever any community is attacked by an external force, we should show solidarity with those people, just as we stand in solidarity with Ukraine which has been invaded by Russia; the same goes for the people in Palestine”, he added.
