The match, which lasted just over ninety minutes on Monday, ended with scores of 7:5 and 6:3 in favor of Świątek.
This victory marks the third win for Świątek against Kerber, who is not only a former world number one but also holds Polish citizenship.
Looking ahead, Świątek is set to face American tennis player Madison Keys in the quarterfinals on Tuesday. Their upcoming match is a rematch from the semifinals of the last 1000-ranked tournament in Madrid, where Świątek emerged victorious with a solid 6:1, 6:3 win before ultimately clinching the title.
