The fire erupted at a bus depot on Elżbiety street around 2:20 a.m., causing a major emergency response.

Despite the intensity of the blaze, which involved 10 of the 60 buses stored at the location, no injuries were reported. Firefighting teams from Bytom and nearby Świętochłowice swiftly contained the fire, with 10 units on the scene working through the night to manage the aftermath and conduct catch-up firefighting operations.

The cause of the fire remains a mystery, adding to a day of severe fire incidents across Poland, including multiple major operations in Warsaw.

"I don't recall a Sunday like that ever," one of the firefighters, Karol Kierzkowski, was quoted as saying by the Polish Radio.
