"Sign 'O' The Times" z roku 1987 to bez wątpienia jeden z najwybitniejszych albumów w dyskografii Prince'a. Jest to 9 studyjny album tego legendarnego artysty, pierwszy po rozstaniu z grupą The Revolution, zawierający m.in. takie klasyczne nagrania jak utwór tytułowy, "Strange Relationship", funkowe "Hot Thing" i "Housequake", "U Got The Look", "Starfish and Coffee", czy "If I Was Your Girlfriend". Oryginalnie płyta ukazała się na dwóch kompaktowych i winylowych krążkach, a 25 września materiał trafi ponownie na rynek, w nowej zremasterowanej i mocno rozszerzonej wersji. "Sign 'o' The Times: Remastered And Expanded Edition" wydany zostanie aż na 8 płytach CD (plus DVD) oraz 13 płytach winylowych i zawierać będzie również 120-stronicową "książeczkę". Oprócz poprawionego brzmieniowo materiału podstawowego, box zawierać będzie także taneczne wersje z maxi singli, drugie strony singli, kilkadziesiąt niepublikowanych dotąd nagrania z przepastnego archiwum Księcia, dwa koncerty z 1987 roku - z holenderskiego Utrechtu oraz sylwestrowy występ z książęcej posiadłości i studia nagraniowego Paisley Park, z gościnnym udziałem m.in. samego Milesa Davisa (ten koncert ukaże się na DVD). W sumie usłyszymy aż 63 niepublikowane dotąd utwory - w tym kompozycję "Witness 4 The Prosecution (Version 1)", która cały box zapowiada.

This September 25, The Prince Estate, in partnership with @warnerrecords, will reissue Prince’s epochal double album Sign O’ The Times via all physical, digital and streaming partners. 🟣 In addition to the newly remastered album, the Super Deluxe Edition features over 60 previously unreleased audio tracks and two complete concert recordings, including Prince’s only on-stage collaboration with Miles Davis. 🟣 Overflowing with musical ideas and topical lyrics that sound just as relevant today as they did when they were initially released, Prince’s iconic double album Sign O’ The Times captured the artist in a period of complete reinvention.
