4 lata po premierze krążka "Wildflower" australijska grupa The Avalanches oficjalnie zapowiedziała nowy album. Płyta nosić będzie tytuł "We Will Always Love You" i ukaże się 11 grudnia. Tym razem ma to być spokojniejszy, mniej imprezowy i bardziej piosenkowy materiał pełen gości. Jak twierdzi zespół także "wibracyjna relacja pomiędzy światłem, dźwiękiem i duszą. To studium nad ludzkim głosem oraz duchowy rachunek zaprezentowany za pośrednictwem wielkich pytań: kim naprawdę jesteśmy? Co dzieje się po śmierci?".
Australijczycy ujawnili właśnie kolejne dwa nagrania z albumu: "Take Care In Your Dreaming” z udziałem Denzela Curry'ego, Tricky'ego i Sampy The Great oraz bardziej taneczne „Music Makes Me High”. Pełną listę gości - wraz z tytułami wszystkich nagrań - poznamy niebawem. Wiadomo już jednak, że na płycie wystąpią także Blood Orange, („We Will Always Love You”), Rivers Cuomo i Pink Siifu („Running Red Lights”), Jamie xx, Neneh Cherry i CLYPSO („Wherever You Go”), a także Sananda Maitreya i folkowa legenda Vashti Bunyan („Reflecting Light”).
Autorem oprawy wizualnej nowych utworów jest John Zawada. Twórca odpowiedzialny jest również za okładkę całego albumu. Na zdjęciu widzimy Ann Druyan - pisarkę, producentkę i autorkę telewizyjnym programów naukowych. To właśnie uczucie, które połączyło ją ze słynnym amerykańskim astronomem Carlem Saganem, było iskrą, która zainspirowała nowy materiał The Avalanches.

We're very happy to share with you the cover for our new album, "We Will Always Love You". Designed by our dear friend Jonathan Zawada, the sleeve features Ann Druyan, (Creative Director of the Voyager Golden Record Project) , who’s cosmic love story inspired this music. In keeping with the album's theme of everlasting love as an undying vibration, Ann's image was run through a spectograph, turned into sound, and back again. The image remains hidden, deep within in the grooves of the music, for you to discover if you wish. An exploration of the vibrational relationship between light, sound and spirit, "We Will Always Love You" will be available for pre-order next week, with more details to follow soon.
