According to Gazeta Wyborcza, Nawrocki misrepresented the purchase of a municipal apartment in the coastal city of Gdańsk.
Journalists uncovered evidence showing that the PiS presidential candidate personally deposited the money in the bank on behalf of "Mr. Jerzy Ż.," the elderly man, who was reportedly in such poor health that he could not manage the funds himself.
At the time, the frail man made a will leaving everything to Nawrocki.
The newspaper reports that Karol Nawrocki, the PiS presidential candidate, personally deposited cash in the bank on behalf of Jerzy Ż., who, according to Nawrocki, was unable to manage a large sum of money on his own. On the same day, the frail senior drafted a will, leaving all of his assets to the PiS candidate.
Gazeta Wyborcza pointed out that while the 80-year-old was considered "incapable of holding cash," he was deemed able to transfer the apartment to Nawrocki, who acquired it at a significantly reduced price, paying just 10% of its value.

Earlier reports by Polish news outlet Onet.pl, revealed that the Nawrockis signed the sale agreement both as buyers and as legal representatives of Mr. Jerzy.
Nawrocki also claimed he had cared for the elderly man, but Mr. Jerzy Ż. has been living in a state-run care home since April last year - a fact Nawrocki says he only learned from the media.
