The purpose of the project is to review the sky over Australia from the angle of active satellites, as well as inactive satellites and their remains orbiting around the Earth. It is seen as a response to the increasing volume of "space junk" which threatens active satellites providing important services such as GPS communications or internet.

POLSA informed that it had initiated and coordinated talks with Australia and negotiated the terms of Polish participation in the planned project, which brought together Polish companies: 6ROADS, ITTI and Sybilla Technologies and the University of Western Australia. An application for funding has been submitted to the Australian Research Council.

The observation data is to be gathered, among others, from the network of instruments belonging to the Polish companies and telescopes belonging to the Polish Space Agency. Polish companies will also participate in creating specialized software for collecting and analyzing data. A Polish scientist will participate in research at the campus in Perth.

The project has been calculated for three years. The decision on funding is to be known in June 2022.
