The move was made at the instigation of City Mayor Radosław Witkowski, the state PAP news agency reported.

“We are demonstrating that Radom is open to giving help,” the mayor said.

The exemption applies until the end of the year, PAP reported.

Friday is day sixteen of the Russian attack on Ukraine, which began on February 24.

Poland on Friday reported it had admitted 1,52 million people escaping the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
