Poland's Andrzej Duda and North Macedonia's Stevo Pendarovski spoke about international politics, Russia's aggression against Ukraine and bilateral relations, according to officials.

Duda's office said the talks focused on cooperation as part of NATO and North Macedonia's bid to join the European Union, of which Poland is part.

The Polish President's Office also said that the two countries were determined to maintain their support of Ukraine in the face of Russia's aggression and "attempts to destabilize the situation in the Balkans."

Duda told reporters at a joint news conference with Pendarovski that Poland steadfastly supported North Macedonia in its efforts to join the EU, Polish state news agency PAP reported.

He also said that the two countries shared the same assessment of "the danger that Russia poses to our part of Europe."

The two presidents also took part in a bilateral business forum.

During the event, Duda said that strengthening business, trade and investment ties between Poland and North Macedonia was an "important goal" for the two countries.

While in Warsaw on Monday, Pendarovski also met with Poland's Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki to discuss "bilateral relations, current international challenges and North Macedonia's integration with the European Union," according to officials.
