Most of the emergencies were in the country’s Podkarpackie and Małopolskie provinces, Karol Kierzkowski, the spokesperson for the Chief Commander of the State Fire Service, told Polish Radio's IAR news agency.
Firefighters said they had been called to help pump water out of flooded buildings and remove fallen trees from roads.
Five people are reported to have sustained injuries in the aftermath of the extreme weather.
Also, about 22,000 households in Podkarpackie remained without electricity on Sunday morning. A group of intensive care patients had to be evacuated from a hospital in Dębica, a town in the province, following the power outage.
