Poland's Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz hosted America's Mark Brzezinski on Friday, Polish state news agency PAP reported.
Kosiniak-Kamysz, who is also Poland's defence minister, thanked the US envoy for a "very good conversation about Poland-US defence and security cooperation," adding the two countries faced "many shared challenges."
The Polish deputy prime minister also stated Poland and America were proving that the NATO alliance "is stronger than ever."
Meanwhile, Brzezinski said that Poland and America were "working closely together" on defence and security, "making both our countries more secure."
The US envoy added on social media that both countries placed a priority on the Poland-US alliance, and on "further strengthening bilateral relations."
In a speech in Warsaw in February 2023, US President Joe Biden described Poland as “one of our great allies," adding that "the United States-Poland relationship is critical for our two nations, especially at this global inflection point," amid Russia's invasion of Ukraine, news outlets reported.
Friday is day 681 of Russia’s war on Ukraine.
Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022, launching the largest military campaign in Europe since World War II.
