This marks the first official foreign trip for the Danish monarch since he ascended to the throne on January 14, following the abdication of his mother, Margaret II, who reigned for over 50 years.
During his visit, Frederick X will tour Warsaw and Szczecin in Poland's northwest. Accompanying him are delegates from the Danish government and business community.
According to the Danish embassy in Warsaw, the main areas of interest for the business delegation include energy efficiency, climate-friendly agricultural production and biogas.
At 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Frederick X will open a business forum at the Polish History Museum in Warsaw.
An hour later, the Danish monarch will meet with Poland's President Andrzej Duda. The two will hold talks and have an official breakfast at the presidential palace in the Polish capital.
At around 2 p.m., Frederick X will lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in central Warsaw. Then he will visit the houses of parliament to meet with Poland's lower-house Speaker Szymon Hołownia and upper-house Speaker Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska.
Later in the day, the Danish monarch will attend a signing ceremony for a bilateral agreement on energy efficiency.
At 3:45 p.m., Frederick X will participate in a round-table discussion focusing on biogas and climate-friendly agriculture.
At 7:20 p.m., the king will host a gala dinner in honour of the Polish president at Warsaw's Royal Castle.
On Thursday, Frederick X plans to hold a series of meetings with local officials and business executives in Warsaw. In the afternoon, he will fly to Szczecin.
On Friday, the Danish king will tour a wind turbine factory in the northwestern Polish city near the German border and attend the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Polish seaport of Szczecin-Świnoujście and Denmark's Esbjerg.
He will also meet with a host of local and regional leaders and visit NATO's Multinational Corps Northeast in Szczecin.
The Danish monarch is expected to be accompanied to Poland by officials including the country's Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen.
Poland's top diplomat Radosław Sikorski is scheduled to meet for talks with Rasmussen in Warsaw on Wednesday.
