Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Infrastructure Congress in Warsaw, Kosiniak-Kamysz emphasized that one of the top priorities will be the construction of shelters for residents, in collaboration with local governments.

Kosiniak-Kamysz highlighted the government's plan for a long-term support program for local governments, with investments to be made in partnership with them. He noted that this infrastructure would be developed not only in border areas but throughout Poland.

"Such is the need and such is the necessity," he concluded.

Among the largest infrastructure projects is the Shield East fortification system, a government initiative valued at approximately PLN 10 billion (USD 2.48 billion). The project, expected to be completed by 2028, includes the construction of fortifications, telecommunications systems and military infrastructure in partnership with NATO allies such as Finland and the Baltic states of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
