"We are developing a new police modernization plan. This is a good tradition of allocating PLN multi-billion funds directed to the police over the years," Siemoniak told Polish Radio’s IAR news agency.

Siemoniak noted that the government is working on a special funding program for national security. Recently, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk allocated PLN 100 million to the Intelligence Agency and the Internal Security Agency. Siemoniak acknowledged that the police's needs are significantly greater.

As the police celebrate their 105th anniversary, Siemoniak highlighted both recent improvements and ongoing challenges within the force. "We have excellent officers and very good commanders, and this service relies on people. I firmly believe that competence, experience, and hard work now determine who holds the highest positions," he said. However, he admitted that issues such as unfilled vacancies and financial problems persist.
