Warsaw mayor emerges as Poland’s most trusted politician in new survey

Pollster IBRiS said trust in Trzaskowski rose to 43 percent in the latest study, from 42.4 percent a month earlier.

At the same time, 41.6 percent of respondents said they did not trust Trzaskowski, an increase of 0.1 percentage point from last month, Polish state news agency PAP reported

Prime Minister Donald Tusk was named the second-most trusted politician in the country, with 42.9 percent of those surveyed expressing confidence in him, the IBRiS poll found.

Duda came in third, with 40.3 percent, ahead of lower-house Speaker Szymon Hołownia in fourth place, with 37.6 percent.

Meanwhile, former Justice Minister Zbigniew Ziobro is the most distrusted politician in the country, according to the survey, which was carried out on July 24 and 25.

More than 67 percent of respondents said they distrusted Ziobro, while 66.3 percent expressed distrust in conservative leader Jarosław Kaczyński, IBRiS reported.
