The conflict has intensified following a missile attack on Saturday attributed to Hezbollah on the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights, resulting in the death of 12 children and teenagers.

In response to the growing instability, the foreign ministry in Warsaw has advised against travel to Lebanon and said it is maintaining communication with the 500 or so Polish citizens currently in the country.

Polish foreign ministry spokesman Paweł Wroński said the Polish government is prepared for various scenarios, drawing on past experiences and NATO exercises.

Further complicating the situation, several airlines, including Germany's Lufthansa, Switzerland's Swiss, German low-cost carrier Eurowings, French carrier Air France, Turkey's SunExpress, Greece’s Aegean Airlines, Ethiopian Air, and Lebanon's Middle East Airlines, have suspended flights to and from Beirut.

These suspensions, effective until August 5 for some, reflect the heightened concerns of a potential full-scale war.

Wroński told reporters on Monday that while the Beirut airport remained operational, the Polish diplomatic post in Lebanon was not assisting with ticket rebookings, staying alert to the rapidly changing conditions in the region.

The Israeli government has authorized retaliatory measures following Saturday's attack. Meanwhile, Hezbollah denies any involvement, amidst fears that the confrontation could escalate further.
