Szeremeta and her team arrived first, followed by the volleyball players, and were greeted with flowers by Otylia Jędrzejczak, Vice President of the Polish Olympic Committee and former swimmer.

Approximately a hundred people, including support staff, will return to Poland from the Paris Olympics on three flights.

The volleyball team and Szeremeta competed on Saturday, with the volleyball team losing 0-3 to France in the final and Szeremeta being defeated by Taiwanese boxer Yu Ting Lin in the 57 kg gold medal match.

“I’m incredibly happy that you supported us and came here,” emphasized Szeremeta.

“You’re fantastic. Playing for you is a pure pleasure and an honor. We’ve achieved our goal, but I also hope we’ve fulfilled your small dream of seeing the team on the Olympic podium,” said volleyball team captain Bartosz Kurek.

The Polish delegation, consisting of 211 athletes across 22 disciplines, earned a total of 10 medals—one gold, four silver, and five bronze—ranking 42nd overall.

Aleksandra Mirosław, who won gold in sport climbing (speed), was the only athlete to top the podium and returned to Poland early Sunday morning on the presidential plane with Andrzej Duda.
