The event, titled "W jak Wolność" ("W for Freedom"), will begin at 9:30 p.m. on Friday. The show, featuring 615 drones, will last approximately 12 minutes and will be one of the largest of its kind in Europe.

"This will be the largest drone show in Poland, dedicated to the memory of our Heroes on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Warsaw Uprising," announced Warsaw’s mayor, Rafał Trzaskowski, on social media, urging people to witness the spectacle.

The drones will ascend to heights of 60 to 120 meters, forming 12 symbolic figures in the night sky, each representing a facet of the Warsaw Uprising. The display can be best viewed from the Vistula Boulevard near the Museum of Modern Art pavilion.

The show’s narrative will be enriched by real voices and testimonies from Uprising survivors, sourced from the Warsaw Uprising Museum’s Oral History Archive.

Accompanying the visual spectacle will be a symphonic piece titled "Drones Over the City," composed by Karim Martusewicz, whose father was a participant in the Uprising.

With figures up to 120 meters tall and spanning 200 meters wide, this event promises to be the most extensive drone show in Poland’s history, eclipsing previous shows which used 260 drones.
