Water levels have dropped on all rivers flowing through Wrocław, south-west Poland, although they are still above alarm levels. The flood embankments in the regions with the greatest risk of seepage have been reinforced. They are constantly monitored by the services.

According to the Polish Institute of Meteorology and Water Management, the flood wave on the Oder River culminates in the Silesian town of Brzeg Dolny, more than 3 meters above the alarm level.

Until late in the evening, sandbags and geotextiles to stabilize the embankments were laid on the outskirts of the city, near the Brodzki Bridge, where the Bystrzyca River flows. The operation involved 50 firefighters, 100 territorial defense force soldiers, as well as volunteers, and residents of nearby housing estates.

There is currently a risk of water overflowing on the Odra embankments in Głogów and Nowa Sól. All villages between Wrocław and Nowa Sól are in a state of "relative danger."

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has partnered with the authorities to provide aid to flood victims. Three priorities have been identified by the ministry: reliable estimation of losses, a transparent distribution system for aid, and an application to the European Commission for extraordinary assistance to agricultural producers. Ministry officials have already begun estimating losses. Support for the victims will be coordinated by the Agricultural Advisory Centres.
