wehAccording to the newspaper’s findings, Nawrocki stayed in the apartment from 2020 to 2021, despite his permanent residence being only 5 kilometers away. He never paid for any of the 197 nights he stayed there.
The daily hotel rate for the apartment is 650 PLN (around 153 EUR or 158 USD). The total cost of Nawrocki's stay, the candidate from the right-wing Law and Justice (PiS) party, amounted to 128,000 PLN (around 30,000 EUR or 31,000 USD).
The hotel complex at the Museum of the Second World War consists of five rooms and three apartments, functioning as part of a commercial lodging operation.
Emilia Wierzbicki, a spokesperson for Nawrocki’s campaign, responded to questions from Gazeta Wyborcza (GW) by saying he used the apartment for work-related duties and that his stays were not continuous.
She added that these stays occurred during the pandemic, when hotels were either closed or only partially available. Nawrocki was also said to have used the apartment in connection with quarantine requirements.
