The head of the Chancellery of the President, Małgorzata Paprocka, informed on Saturday that the head of the National Security Bureau, Jacek Siewiera, had submitted his resignation from his position to President Andrzej Duda. She added that the reason for this decision was the minister's personal plans.

"The minister has decided to participate in a scholarship program at the University of Oxford, having discussed this decision with the president in advance," emphasized Paprocka.

When asked when Siewiera is expected to leave the National Security Bureau, the head of the Chancellery of the President stated that an exact date could not be provided, but it would be "in the near future."

Jacek Siewiera was appointed by President Andrzej Duda to the position of head of the National Security Bureau in October 2022.
