In an article published in one of Sweden's largest daily newspapers, the author discusses how Poland and its Prime Minister may bring a fresh leadership style characterized by pragmatism, determination, and, most importantly, an optimistic and forward-looking approach.

Swedish journalist Frederik Johansson highlights that the position taken by the Polish presidency also responds to how Europe should react to the United States and offers a contrasting perspective on Donald Trump's foreign policy.

The publicist quoted Tusk's speech in the European Parliament, where the Polish prime minister appealed to Europeans by referencing the famous words of US President John F. Kennedy.

"When I hear what is being said on the other side of the Atlantic, we should not become irritated or afraid. Let us remember what Kennedy once said: 'Don't ask what America can do for our security; ask what we can do for our security,'" Tusk stated in Strasbourg.

Johansson, discussing Tusk's thesis, emphasized that "Europe needs the United States, but the US must recognize a Europe that has the will and the ability to do everything in its power for its security."

Johansson concluded by stating that the Polish presidency is setting a new direction, asserting, "Europe is not yet lost," while referring to a line from the Polish anthem.
