This will be the second visit to Poland by the reigning British monarch.
King Charles III of Great Britain will begin his visit in Kraków and Oświęcim. He is also scheduled to visit Wawel Castle ahead of the commemorations for the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the German concentration and extermination camp Auschwitz, which are set for January 27. While the detailed itinerary for King Charles III's visit to Kraków remains confidential, it is known that he will visit the Jewish Community Center (JCC) in the Kazimierz district of Kraków.
In Oświęcim, he will meet with President Andrzej Duda, Wojciech Kolarski, minister in the Chancellery of the President, told Polish Radio.
On Monday, the monarch will participate in the commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the former German extermination camp Auschwitz-Birkenau. Delegations from over 50 countries will attend the event, led by presidents, prime ministers, and monarchs. However, the main guests will be Holocaust survivors and former prisoners of the camp.
