According to ministry spokesperson Małgorzata Dzieciniak, the decision was based on “irregularities in carrying out agency responsibilities.”
The government is currently reviewing candidates for Wrochna’s replacement and will announce further steps soon.

Concerns over Falcon 9 incident
POLSA, established in 2014, supports Poland’s space industry and collaborates with international agencies and national authorities on space exploration and technology.
One key issue leading to Wrochna’s dismissal was POLSA’s handling of an incident involving SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket.
On February 20, 2025, the minister summoned Wrochna to explain why the agency failed to properly warn about the uncontrolled reentry of a Falcon 9 rocket stage. Reports from POLSA allegedly did not indicate the level of risk.
Following the incident, Paszyk ordered an “immediate review and revision” of POLSA’s notification procedures, including how the agency evaluates and updates information about potential threats. The ministry stated that POLSA’s reports “did not differ from previous ones and failed to highlight the risk of an incident.”
Additionally, on March 2, POLSA was hit by a cyberattack, prompting the agency to disconnect from the internet. Its systems were restored on March 5.
