The strategy, created by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, focuses on meeting the changing needs of Poles living abroad while tackling challenges related to demographics, the economy, and migration policy.

It aims to promote return migration, improve collaboration with Polish communities overseas, and tap into the potential of Poles living abroad.

The plan emphasizes the importance of the Polish community in contributing to the modernization of Poland’s economy, highlighting their intellectual and professional potential.

A key focus is supporting return migration, including creating favorable conditions for career, education, and research opportunities in Poland.

Additionally, the strategy plans to improve the teaching of Polish, facilitate higher education and internships for Poles abroad, and review the financial mechanisms supporting Polish diaspora policies.

As highlighted by Hanna Mościcka-Dendys, Poland's Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a social media post, the government is focusing on promoting the Polish language among emigrants, policies to encourage the return of Polish citizens, and supporting international professional and academic mobility.
