Poland's Tusk, Germany's Scholz meet in Warsaw

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk met with outgoing German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in Warsaw on Wednesday to discuss bilateral relations and global issues, according to the Polish government.

Scholz, whose Social Democratic Party (SPD) negotiated a coalition deal with the Christian Democrats, will step down from office in two weeks.

He will not serve in the upcoming government led by Friedrich Merz, which is set to be sworn in in early May.

No public speeches or media engagements were planned during his visit to Poland.
