He said the assurance followed his talks with the US defense secretary and discussions held by Deputy Defense Minister Paweł Zalewski and Chief of the General Staff Wiesław Kukuła with allies.
“The Polish-American alliance is strong and brings concrete actions to strengthen security,” Kosiniak-Kamysz wrote on social media on Wednesday.
The statement came after Romania’s defense ministry said this week that the United States had informed Romania and other NATO members of a decision to reduce US troop numbers on the alliance’s eastern flank in Europe, with roughly 1,000 US troops to stay in Romania.
