The meeting at Poland’s National Security Bureau (BBN) was hosted by BBN chief Sławomir Cenckiewicz and included discussions with bureau leadership and experts.

According to a statement posted on BBN’s official X account, Michta delivered a lecture and joined in talks covering the future of U.S.-Polish defense cooperation and broader regional security.

Presidential ministers Adam Andruszkiewicz and Karol Rabenda also attended the meeting.

The U.S. strategy document, released Friday, outlines a shift toward national sovereignty, internal resilience, and great-power competition, primarily with China.

BBN analysts noted that the strategy redefines U.S. global engagement and carries major implications for Europe—enhancing Poland’s strategic position but also requiring greater defense autonomy.
