Karol Nawrocki and Marta Nawrocka expressed their Christmas wishes in a video message released on Wednesday morning on the president’s website and social media channels.

President Nawrocki described Christmas Eve as "the most beautiful evening of the year", saying it was a time "when we share bread and kind words, give presents to our loved ones and the gift of our presence – a time when we are truly together and experience it most fully."

The first lady echoed this message, saying: "Our hearts are filled with joy and goodwill."

She added: "We want to show them to our loved ones, but also to those who will not spend Christmas in the warmth of a family home."

Despite Christmas being a time of rest and respite, Nawrocka said she and her husband "hold in special remembrance those who are on duty during the festive days; those who ensure that these are calm and safe holidays."

President Nawrocki also called on Poles to safeguard what he described as the "treasure" of Polish Christmas traditions, including church services, rituals, nativity plays, carols, pastoral songs and both nationwide and regional customs.

Marta Nawrocka called for unity, saying: "Let all disputes fall silent today. We wish peace and prosperity at Christmas and on all the days of the New Year."

"Blessed Christmas in health and family happiness," the president concluded, as the couple together wished everyone a happy Christmas.
