Polish disposable income grows: stats office

Poland's average monthly disposable income reached PLN 3,500 (around EUR 815, USD 940) per person in 2025, up from PLN 3,167 in 2024, the national statistics office reported on Monday.

In 2023, average monthly disposable income in Poland was PLN 2,355, while in 2022 it stood at PLN 2,355, according to the state-run Statistics Poland (GUS) agency.

Statistics Poland defines disposable income as total personal income minus taxes, social security and public health insurance contributions.

Between 2015 and 2025, the proportion of persons experiencing severe material and social deprivation decreased from 7.8% to 2.0%, i.e., a drop of 5.8 pp.

The office reported earlier this month that average wages in Poland's corporate sector increased by 6.1 percent in February compared with the same month last year.

The average gross Polish monthly wage last month was PLN 9,135.69 (EUR 2,130, USD 2,450), according to the statistical office.

The average wage in Poland rose 5.5 percent last year compared with 2024, according to data released by Statistics Poland in February.

Meanwhile, the country's minimum monthly wage increased 3 percent this year to PLN 4,806 (EUR 1,120, USD 1,290), from PLN 4,666 in 2025.
