Polish Television (TVP), the Polish Press Agency (PAP) and Polish Radio signed an agreement Thursday establishing a fact-checking initiative called "Sprawdzam to" ("I'm checking it"), centered on a new website, sprawdzamto.pl.

The platform will publish news, analyses, reports and commentary explaining how media manipulation works.

PAP will provide weekly newsletters highlighting the week's top disinformation threats and monthly reports tracking narratives and trends, while Polish Radio will use podcasts to explain manipulation tactics.

TVP will leverage its reach and existing fact-checking programs — including "Lie Detector", "We're Checking" and "The Lie Won't Pass" — to embed the initiative in public debate.

The agreement is backed by the Ministry of Digitalization. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digitalization Krzysztof Gawkowski, who attended the signing at TVP's headquarters, said the initiative "gives a sense of responsibility that has always been at the heart of public media". He added: "In times of hybrid and digital warfare, this mission must be coupled with responsibility for truthful information".
