"Our strategic goal is clear: the more American soldiers in Poland, the better," Nawrocki told reporters after attending a Catholic Mass with members of the Polish American community in Silver Spring, Maryland.
"A permanent presence of US troops is our objective," he added.
Nawrocki said strong relations between the Polish and US presidents were in Poland's national interest and that every meeting with Trump provided an opportunity to advance Polish priorities.
"I have come to the United States for President Trump's 80th birthday, so naturally I will first offer my congratulations on that occasion and on the 250th anniversary of the US Declaration of Independence," Nawrocki said.
"But every one of our meetings is also a chance to discuss Poland's interests," he added.
The Polish president said he did not believe Trump needed convincing about the value of a stronger US military presence in Poland.
"President Trump regularly says that Poland is a model ally of the United States," Nawrocki said. "He appreciates our history, our defence spending and the contribution of Polish soldiers to NATO and US-led missions."
At the same time, Nawrocki criticised what he described as anti-American rhetoric among some Polish political leaders and accused Prime Minister Donald Tusk's government of failing to fully implement agreements reached with Washington.
He also criticised the government's handling of plans for expanded US military infrastructure in Poland, including the proposed "Fort Trump" project, first discussed during Trump's previous term in office, Polish state news agency PAP reported.
Nawrocki, an ally of the opposition, said he hoped to persuade Tusk's government to make greater use of what he described as a favourable moment in relations between Warsaw and Washington.
Poland currently hosts around 10,000 US troops on a rotational basis and has significantly increased defence spending in recent years.
The country is also taking delivery of F-35 fighter jets purchased in 2020.
According to Marcin Przydacz, head of the president's International Policy Bureau, Nawrocki is expected to hold talks with Trump during his stay in Washington.
Przydacz said the two leaders would discuss security cooperation, bilateral relations, and economic and energy ties.

Nawrocki is due to attend the UFC Freedom 250 mixed martial arts event at the White House on Sunday. The event is being held to mark the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States and coincides with Trump's birthday.
On Monday, the Polish president is scheduled to meet US Senate Majority Leader John Thune on Capitol Hill.
He will then travel to Florida for meetings with members of the Polish American community at the John Paul II Center in Clearwater.
