The initiative, known as the Great Toddler Expedition, began last week and features 70 of the classic cars driven by celebrities and other participants.

The convoy is expected to reach Normandy on July 6 after covering a route of more than 5,000 kilometers that includes challenging mountain passes.

The Fiat 126p, affectionately known in Poland as the Maluch, or "Toddler," was produced in the country under license from Italy's Fiat. It became one of the best-known symbols of everyday life in communist-era Poland, when car ownership was limited and the compact vehicle was a familiar sight on the nation's roads.
