During a conference at the 18th Capital Territorial Defence Brigade on Saturday, Sobkowiak‑Czarnecka said that any Polish citizen aged 13 or older may participate in the program.
She said the initiative complements a safety guide published by the government last year. The guide provides theoretical information, while wGotowości offers practical skills, Sobkowiak‑Czarnecka told reporters.
She said more than 20,000 people have already taken part, and the current edition will continue until the end of November. Registration is available through the mObywatel app.
wGotowości is a civilian defense‑training initiative developed by the Polish Ministry of National Defence and the Polish Armed Forces. It consists of two tracks: “Resilience” and “Reserves.” The first track is intended for civilians with no military background and includes one‑day sessions in four areas: medical aid, cybersecurity, survival skills, and a basic safety course focused on crisis response.
A pilot for the Resilience track launched in November 2025, with four weekend sessions held by the end of that year. The second track, Reserves, is scheduled to begin next year and will offer basic military instruction, including weapons handling, to support the Armed Forces’ reserve‑training system.
