The country’s president and prime minister attended a ceremony in Warsaw during which four senior police officers were promoted to general and many others elevated to higher ranks.

President Andrzej Duda said during the ceremony at the Polish capital’s Piłsudski Square that the country’s police force deserved praise for its “extraordinary commitment” and dedicated work for the community on an everyday basis.

Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki thanked Poland’s police officers, saying they were admired for their hard work and sacrifice.
