State news agency PAP reported that her potential rivals as opposition presidential candidate were former Health Minister Bartosz Arłukowicz and Radoslaw Sikorski, a former foreign minister.
Kidawa-Błońska is a senior opposition politician from Poland’s largest opposition party, the Civic Platform, and a deputy Speaker of the country’s lower house of parliament.
She was the opposition candidate for prime minister in the country’s parliamentary elections on October 13.
Earlier this month, Poland’s ruling conservatives reaffirmed their support for incumbent President Andrzej Duda, who is expected to seek re-election in May.
