Jourová is scheduled to hold talks with officials including Justice Minister Zbigniew Ziobro, lower-house Speaker Elżbieta Witek and upper-house Speaker Tomasz Grodzki.
She will also meet with Chief Justice Małgorzata Gersdorf and Constitutional Tribunal head Julia Przyłębska, a spokesman for the European Commission, Christian Wigand, told reporters in Brussels on Monday.
The European Commission this month asked the EU’s top court to freeze new Polish rules that seek to discipline judges critical of government changes to the judiciary.
Poland’s foreign ministry on Saturday summoned the head of the European Commission’s representation in Warsaw over what it said was an “inadmissible statement” by Wigand a day earlier questioning the legitimacy of Poland’s Constitutional Tribunal.
