Sasin, who is also minister of state assets, said he was working remotely and not planning to rest.
"Cutting off speculation: during a working meeting with representatives of mining trade unions… I came into contact with a person infected with the coronavirus. I am currently under quarantine,” Sasin wrote on Twitter on Monday.
A total of 21,631 people have tested positive for the COVID-19 disease in Poland, with 1,007 deaths from the coronavirus so far, officials said on Monday evening.
The Silesia mining region of southern Poland recently became a new hot spot for infections.
