All Polish cancer patients will have a “coordinator” who will guide them through the process of diagnosis, treatment and post-cancer rehabilitation, state news agency PAP reported.
Health Minister Adam Niedzielski said a bill on setting up a network of cancer treatment centres would be drafted by the end of March.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said that cancer kills over 100,000 Poles a year.
He told reporters: "We have almost doubled spending on cancer treatment over the last five to six years and we will spare no efforts or resources to professionalize our health service in the field of oncology, because this is an absolute priority.”
