“We want such a truck-and-trailer mobile vaccination unit to be available in each province," the Polish prime minister’s chief and staff, Michał Dworczyk, said on Thursday.
He added that each such unit should be ready for deployment within 15 minutes after reaching its destination amid efforts to broaden the public's access to coronavirus shots.
“A month and a half from now, we will have such mobile units ready and on standby, and once we get more vaccines, they will join those 6,000 or so vaccination sites already in operation,” he added.
Dworczyk, who is in charge of the national immunization campaign, reiterated that the top priority was to vaccinate as many Poles as possible within the shortest possible time.
As of Thursday evening, more than 2.5 million COVID-19 vaccine shots had been administered nationwide, according to data released by Health Minister Adam Niedzielski.
