In late 2021, the study was presented to Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, Polish state news agency PAP reported.
Morawiecki said on Wednesday: “We want the world to read this report.”
He added that the document was currently being translated into several foreign languages.
Morawiecki said: “We’ll show the entire photographic documentation, historical sources, and a detailed calculation, based on scientific, tried and tested reasoning, a financial calculation that translates wartime losses into today’s money.”
He added: “The Germans have done enormous harm to the Polish people and they have never made up for it in the material sense.”
“These are facts that everyone ought to know,” he also said.
The three-volume study was drawn up over four years by a parliamentary team led by governing Law and Justice party MP Arkadiusz Mularczyk.
Morawiecki thanked Mularczyk and his "team of professors, scholars and experts" who “worked on these calculations.”
In 2018, Mularczyk said that Germany could owe Poland USD 850 billion in war reparations.
According to a 2021 survey by pollster CBOS, 64 percent of Poles want the government to seek reparations for the damage inflicted on Poland during World War II, the PAP news agency reported.
