UPDATE: Polish, South Korean presidents meet for talks in Warsaw

The Polish and South Korean presidents met in Warsaw on Thursday to discuss international security and bilateral relations, according to officials.

The bilateral meeting between Poland's President Andrzej Duda and South Korea's Yoon Suk Yeol began at the presidential palace in Warsaw shortly after 11 a.m. local time, Polish state news agency PAP reported.

Duda and Yoon were set to hold private talks, followed by a meeting of a wider group of officials from both countries, broadcaster TVP Info reported.

The two presidents were due to hold a joint news conference in the early afternoon to brief reporters on the results of their talks on issues including economic and defence ties between the two nations.

Later on Thursday, Yoon was expected to meet with Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki and parliamentary Speakers Elżbieta Witek and Tomasz Grodzki, Polish state news agency PAP reported.

On Friday, the Polish and South Korean presidents will attend a bilateral business forum in Warsaw, the PAP news agency reported.
