The prime minister said that the 2024 budget would be approved "by the end of the week," adding that the border with Ukraine "has been unblocked," following the government's agreement with protesting transport companies.
Tusk also announced that the family allowance would be increased to PLN 800 (around EUR 184) per child per month "earlier than foreseen in the law."
Polish MPs on Tuesday debated the draft 2024 budget and are due to vote on the plan on Thursday, polskieradio24.pl reported.
Meanwhile, the minister for infrastructure, Dariusz Klimczak, on Tuesday announced that Polish hauliers had agreed to "suspend their blockade of Poland's Korczowa, Hrebenne and Dorohusk checkpoints with Ukraine, until March," pending policy solutions to the standoff.
