On Friday, Irish and Czech voters will head to the polls, while citizens of most other European Union countries, including Poland, will vote on Sunday.
In total, Europeans will elect 720 deputies, with 53 seats allocated to Poland.
Roberta Metsola, president of the outgoing European Parliament, urged EU citizens to participate in the elections.
"The European Parliament is delivering for people," Metsola said in a social media message. "And we can still improve it. Together we can make Europe better, stronger and fairer for tomorrow. Do not take Europe for granted. Defend it. Shape it."
"Use your vote, or others will decide for you," she appealed.
Polls suggest that the European People's Party (EPP) will win the elections again, although it is expected to secure fewer seats than it currently holds.
Other mainstream groups, including the Social Democrats and Liberals, are also predicted to lose some seats, as are the Greens.
Projections also indicate that if the right-wing and far-right parties form a coalition after the elections, they could become the second-largest group in the European Parliament, public broadcaster Polish Radio’s IAR news agency reported.
