The education minister highlighted that they cannot afford another year where tens of thousands of children pretend to receive an education, face social issues, or miss out of schooling, which could lead to developmental delays or regression.

Nowacka announced financial suport for schools to help with the integration of Ukrainian students. She mentioned that the Polish government will provide half a bilion zlotys to schools, local governments, and educational institutions for intercultural educators, suport services, and teacher training, emphasizing the significance of this investment.

The compulsory schooling for Ukrainian children will be tied to the 800 plus benefit. If a Ukrainian child does not attend a Polish school, they will not qualify for this financial assistance.

Previously, the Ministry of National Education issued a special statement detailing the conditions for receiving the 800 plus benefit. These guidelines were presented by Joanna Mucha, the Secretary of State at the Ministry of National Education.
