"There is no doubt, the Polish state will act – we are ready to use all available resources and means," assured Deputy Minister Wziątek.
In his view, the situation in the region is tense, and by mid-August, the conflict could escalate into "direct military action."
According to Polish Radio's news agency (IAR), Iran may retaliate against Israel after the assassination of a senior Hezbollah military commander in Lebanon.
It is believed that Israel was behind the assassination of a Hamas political leader in Tehran, though Tel Aviv has not officially confirmed this.
Analysts also indicate that Yahya Sinwar, the new Hamas leader, is considered more radical than his predecessor, Ismail Haniyeh, and may adopt a more aggressive stance.
Airlines divert routes over Middle East conflict concerns
British media reported that more than 1,000 soldiers are ready for a potential evacuation of Britons from Lebanon, with some stationed in Cyprus, in response to a Foreign Office warning, making this operation comparable to the large-scale evacuation from Afghanistan in August 2021 and the largest British military evacuation since World War II.
Reuters reported, that Britain and Egypt have urged their airlines to avoid Iranian and Lebanese airspace due to escalating fears of a broader regional conflict following the killings of senior Hamas and Hezbollah leaders.
In response, airlines around the world are altering their routes to bypass these areas, with some, like United Airlines, suspending flights to Israel and Lebanon over security concerns.
Travel Alert
The Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs still warns against traveling to the border areas with Lebanon and Syria, Jerusalem, and the regions adjacent to the Gaza Strip.
"The Polish mission in Tel Aviv has recommended that Polish citizens currently in Israel and surrounding countries consider returning to Poland," as conveyed through social media channels.
