According to Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, who shared the news on social media, this is another step in modernizing Poland's military.

The vehicles, commonly referred to as Kleszcz (which means "tick" in English), were developed through a collaboration between AMZ Kutno and military institutes. This purchase meets the requirement that 50% of the funding be spent domestically within Poland.

The contract is valued at approximately 800 million PLN (about 186.7 million EUR), with deliveries scheduled to begin in two years. Initially, the vehicles will be assigned to reconnaissance units of the land forces, replacing older Soviet-era equipment (BRDM-2s).
