The visit will focus on enhancing political and economic cooperation between the two nations, as indicated by sources close to the Polish foreign ministry.

Modi is expected to arrive in Poland on August 21, according to reports from Indian media.

This visit marks the first by an Indian head of government to Warsaw in several years and coincides with the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between India and Poland.

During his visit, Modi is scheduled to meet with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk and President Andrzej Duda. The agenda is expected to include discussions on international political issues and strengthening economic ties between India and Poland.

In a related development, Indian media reports suggest that Modi might also visit Ukraine around its Independence Day on August 24.

This potential visit would come just weeks after Modi's meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow, where he emphasized the need for a peaceful resolution to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.

India's stance on Russia's war in Ukraine has drawn international attention.

While India has refrained from imposing sanctions on Russia or condemning the Kremlin's actions, it has consistently advocated for a peaceful resolution, urging "both sides" to engage in dialogue.

This approach reflects India's efforts to balance its relations with the West while maintaining its strategic partnership with Russia, which is vital for India's national security, according to a report by the Reuters news agency.

Indian media have highlighted that Modi's visit to Ukraine would be his first since Russia's full-scale invasion began in February 2022.
