During the visit, Tusk will hold talks with Moldovan Prime Minister Dorin Recean, President Maia Sandu, and parliamentary Speaker Igor Grosu.

Additionally, he is scheduled to address a special session of the Moldovan parliament.

At a press conference on Monday, Tusk underscored Moldova's significance to regional security, emphasizing that the country's future is closely linked to that of Ukraine and Poland, public broadcaster Polish Radio’s IAR news agency reported.

He told reporters that his visit, coming ahead of Moldova’s presidential elections slated for October 20, aims to bolster the country’s pro-European ambitions.
