Cezary Kulesza, President of the Polish Football Association (PZPN), announced the allocation of 1.75 million PLN to assist affected clubs and has appealed to UEFA for additional financial support for clubs in Poland and other countries.
Over 100 clubs have been impacted by the flood, resulting in significant damage to their facilities. The Lower Silesian PZPN has committed 200,000 PLN in support, but the total cost of reconstruction will be much higher.
On Friday, Kulesza donated an additional 1.75 million PLN to help the affected clubs, emphasizing the need for solidarity during these challenging times.
According to Przegląd Sportowy, PZPN is urging UEFA to allocate funds not only for Polish clubs but also for those in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria, Slovenia, Romania, and Moldova, with the request set to be reviewed at next week's Executive Committee meeting in Prague.
